While rooted in New Jersey, we can seamlessly take on a new practice’s billing anywhere in the U.S., providing the same dedicated, hands-on service that has defined us for decades.
Over the years, MLS has grown steadily into a trusted partner for practices in multiple specialties. Our team brings diverse expertise spanning practice management, medical coding, insurance-side claims processing, customer service, and records management. Many of our account managers are also bilingual in English and Spanish, ensuring we can better serve your patients as well as your practice. At our core, we are relentless about one thing: getting our clients paid fairly and fully.
Melinda – Founder
Melinda began her career in healthcare in the 1970s, working in the medical records and coding department at St. Barnabas Medical Center before becoming a respiratory therapy technician. Later, she managed her husband’s general and bariatric surgical practice for 28 years, gaining first-hand insight into the financial challenges physicians face. With that experience, she founded MLS Medical Billing Services, recognizing the growing need for skilled billing professionals who truly advocate for providers.
As both a practice manager and the spouse of a surgeon, Melinda understands the pressures placed on doctors and their families in today’s managed care environment. She built MLS on the belief that every client should be treated like family—and trained her team to deliver the same level of professional, personal, and persistent service.

Elyse – Surgical Billing & Operations
Elyse brings over 15 years of hands-on medical billing experience to MLS, with a specialization in complex out-of-network surgical claims. After earning a full Division I tennis scholarship to the University of Richmond, she graduated with a degree in Communications and carried forward the same discipline, focus, and competitive drive that made her a successful athlete into the world of medical billing.
After a career in real estate, Elyse joined the family business and quickly became MLS’s lead surgical biller and office manager. She is known for her meticulous attention to detail, deep knowledge of coding, appeals, and payer negotiation, and relentless determination to secure maximum reimbursements for providers. Much like on the tennis court, Elyse approaches each claim as a match to be won—combining strategy, persistence, and follow-through to deliver results.
Jordan – Account Management & Client Services
Jordan’s career path is as unique as MLS itself. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, he trained in some of the country’s top five-star restaurants, mastering precision, organization, and the ability to perform under pressure. Those same skills translate seamlessly into medical billing, where accuracy, timing, and execution are critical.
At MLS, Jordan manages client accounts with the same level of care and attention to detail he once gave to fine dining. He thrives on building strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication, and keeping practices confident that their revenue cycle is in expert hands. His approachable style, combined with a service-first mindset, makes him a trusted partner to physicians across the region.
